Our First Parent Teacher Meeting

I had my first parent-teacher meeting for Madelyn this week. I am very happy (relieved) to report that everything went great. Mady passed her first round of assessments that will be going into her report card. Her teacher said she is very responsible and confident - which was funny to hear, but not a surprise. We need to continue working on her writing as her teacher thinks is a little sloppy for her age and I agree. Mady is left handed and a little stubborn about writing lower case letters, but I am sure we can makes some improvements.

In other fabulous news, Noah has been really TALKING lately, in sentences. Last night he ran in the house and said "Mommy, I had fun at school." He is also getting better at general conversation and answering questions. His other frequently used sentence is "Mommy, look at my boots, shoes, picture, etc....."

Noah is also going to sleep in his crib like a "big boy." For almost a week he has went to sleep all on his own after story time. We tuck him in, tell him goodnight, and leave the room. It seems almost unbelievable, but he actually just goes to sleep. I have heard about other children that do this (and even experienced it with Mady when she got older), but only dreamed of this moment with Noah.

All this growing up they are doing has made me nostalgic for when they were just little babies:

That is all for now!
