Mady's Big 6th Birthday Bash

Mady turned six! Last year she really wanted to have her fifth birthday party at Pump-it-Up, an indoor jumpy party place. She really had her heart set on it, but we all decided that we should skip a birthday party for her since we were traveling to Washington DC the day before her birthday. It was a trip for my work with the added benefit of visiting Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Felix. I assured her that the trip would be more fun than a party and sure enough it was. So this year when her birthday rolled around we decided, after quite a few discussions, that she could have a big party at the jumpy place. She was so excited!

Mady got a present from Aunt Barbara and Cousin Cottie in the mail a few days before her birthday, so she was so excited to wake up and open that present first thing!

Jammies and a sleeping mask! So cute!

Grandma and Grandpa came over in the morning to have a birthday breakfast with us and give Mady her presents.

Grandma and Grandpa got Mady the Nintendo DS player that she has been wanting. It is even pink. She also got a new booster seat for my car - very big girl.

Dad and I got her some new clothes, an accessory pack for her DS, and of course a game for that new DS Player. I also made her a birthday shirt to wear to her party.

Mady in the Birthday Chair. Sitting in the big chair was the main reason she wanted to have her birthday there.

Mady invited her friends to sit in the chair with her and take pictures.

I think Mady had this same smile on with every gift she opened!

Faith made her a cool mask.

We did "plant your own pumkin" kits as the favors this year.

It has been a big year for Madelyn. She learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels. She started riding a motorcycle on her own and even got to go on a few trail rides with Dad. She lost her first tooth and started First Grade. She even learned to read over the summer and just really started taking off with it after school started. Five was a great year, but I am pretty sure six is going to be even better! Happy birthday Mady!
